Srinagar-Leh highway closed for public, Indian Air Force alert issued

The decision was taken after a stir on the Ladakh border on Monday morning. In addition, locals living around Pangong Lake have also been taken to safer places. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, on the night of 29–30 August, the Chinese army attempted to infiltrate near Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh. In previous meetings, the meetings between the armies of the two countries and whatever was decided broke the promise.


Indian army personnel foiled every attempt by China, in such a situation, the alert has now increased on the Ladakh border. However, to bring the situation under control, negotiations are underway at the brigade commander level between the two countries.
