NCB probe in Sushant Singh Rajput case continues, ED asks for more information

Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials have sought more information from Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials who came forward during the investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. NCB gave information about this.

The NCB, CBI and ED are interrogating the case. Significantly, NCB has registered a case against actress Riya Chakraborty and others. Riya is accused of giving drugs to Sushant.

Meanwhile, in the case investigating the case, the ED has pasted the notice on Gaurav Arya's Goa hotel and asked it to appear before the agency before 31 August. Gaurav Arya is the person with whom Riya Chakraborty's WhatsApp chat was revealed. If sources are to be believed, Gaurav is part of the underworld racket of Arya Drugs Mafia. He provides drugs to big Mumbai clients and big rave parties. Riya Chakraborty is one of them. Riya knew and before 2015 Gaurav was in contact with Arya.

Gaurav Arya is associated with a person named Abu Ismail Azmi. Both of them have opened a hotel in Goa. NCB is exploring both. In 2018, the Narcotics Cell of the Delhi Police busted a large international drug racket, which seized MDMA worth Rs 40 crore. Azmi was arrested in this case.

On Friday, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale met the family of Sushant Singh Rajput. He said, "I believe Sushant Singh Rajput's death was not a suicide but a murder. His family demanded justice. They are satisfied with the ongoing CBI investigation."
